I love love love this dress! Seriously one of the absolute best swing dresses I have ever had. Its the ultimate little black dress that has the earliest R&K label. It is hand finished and so wonderfully constructed! The fabric is cut on the bias and is that wonderful slightly textures silk moss crepe that has a touch of stretch to it so it moves to drape and fit your body to perfection. The cut is marvelous. Slightly padded shoulders top a streamlined bodice that has no waist seam and gradually widens to that perfect swing silhouette. The neckline has a keyhole and tie - each tie ends in a little ball of tightly applied , glossy black sequins! A pretty sequins detail sits on one side of the bodice. The absolute drop dead detail on this one are those pockets! They sit atop the skirt and have a rounded puffed, pouch like shape. Each has a little sweet bow and each is encrusted in those same glossy sequins. I would out this dress up against any "forties inspired" dress from any runway and it would win hands down! Killer forties dress and in excellent to as near mint as a piece this old can get condition.
